When I was born my mother had Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She was a bitter angry woman. I watched as she wasted her life watching TV and smoking. As a young child I saw many opportunities where she could do something to contribute, but no one listens to a 12-year-old girl. I hate to see LIFE wasted. When our house was struck by lightening she was moved to the hospital. There she was in a ward with many others as sick as she was. She discovered that all of the other residents appreciated her happy and cheerful attitude. She discovered she had something to offer after spending so many resentful years fighting her illness.
